My grandson Callum has a new friend.... Everest.
So named because he is grey and brown and black and white, just like the mountain.
Random ramblings from the cluttered brain of a Brit ex-pat North Devonian trying to keep cool in the steamy summers and warm in the frosty winters of The Great White North.

Yes, welcome to the family. He looks so fluffy and right at home.
ReplyDeleteGreat close-up of those beautiful eyes.

Everest settled in very fast, as if he knew he had found a good home. Plus he gets to boss the dog around, which makes him feel very important!
DeleteAww, Harlequin tabbies are so pretty.
ReplyDeleteAnd soft and silky too, lovely to touch.
DeleteWHAT a beauty. I am so glad that he has landed on his feet, and has found the right family to train.
ReplyDeleteMany years ago my father opened up the house to let the German Shepherd out. There was a tiny, half starved kitten on the front step who reared up and boxed the German Shepherd on the nose. 'A cat of character' my father said 'We will keep her.' And we did. She ruled the house with a paw of iron for many a long year.
I love the expression "ruling with a paw of iron".... I think Everest might have a similar paw, judging by his activity so far!
DeleteFeline additions to the family must be fun for everyone!
ReplyDeleteThere were two cats in the household previously, Leon and JoJo, but both sadly passed away. The addition of a new furry family member was very welcome.
DeleteLove those eyes - they look to be full of mischief :)
ReplyDeleteYes, a naughty cat always getting into things he shouldn't!
DeleteOh how I miss our cats. Everest is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteEverest is fitting into the family, much to the disappointment of Badger the large dog, who used to be centre of attention, but now is relegated to second fiddle!
DeleteA cutie for sure and now he has a forever home to take charge of. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd he is definitely in charge, he's quite a character!
DeleteAwww - sweet!
ReplyDeleteYes, but naughty too.
DeleteWhat a beautiful cat. So glad Everest found a good home.
ReplyDeleteYes, Callum will give him lots of love and attention.
DeleteLoved getting up close with Everest, he is adorable Shammi and so good that he was rescued by a family who recognise the royal 👑 he is 😉
ReplyDeleteAll this praise will go to his head!
