Everest

My grandson Callum has a new friend.... Everest.

So named because he is grey and brown and black and white, just like the mountain.

He's about 1 year old and is super friendly, super fluffy, and loves a cuddle. He came from the local SPCA as a homeless kitty looking for a place to hang his hat, and I think he's found the perfect family to take charge of and train to attend to his every need. He even bosses Badger the giant wolf dog around, so he's definitely moved in with authority. YAY Everest! Welcome to the family.

    1. Everest settled in very fast, as if he knew he had found a good home. Plus he gets to boss the dog around, which makes him feel very important!

  3. WHAT a beauty. I am so glad that he has landed on his feet, and has found the right family to train.
Many years ago my father opened up the house to let the German Shepherd out. There was a tiny, half starved kitten on the front step who reared up and boxed the German Shepherd on the nose. 'A cat of character' my father said 'We will keep her.' And we did. She ruled the house with a paw of iron for many a long year.

    1. I love the expression "ruling with a paw of iron".... I think Everest might have a similar paw, judging by his activity so far!

    1. There were two cats in the household previously, Leon and JoJo, but both sadly passed away. The addition of a new furry family member was very welcome.

    1. Everest is fitting into the family, much to the disappointment of Badger the large dog, who used to be centre of attention, but now is relegated to second fiddle!
